Why the bundle?
The gateway is what connects your PostBoxPing sensor to the internet. It sits inside your home, plugged into power and your router. The sensor in your mailbox talks to the gateway wirelessly over LoRaWAN (up to 10km range), and the gateway forwards the notification to the cloud and then to your phone. No WiFi needed at the mailbox.
Save $10 compared to buying the sensor ($89) and gateway ($199) separately.
